Well, it’s been a long time since I have posted! Whoops. Let me recap. I started my internship and I’m all settled in for the summer. My days have consisted of interning until late, working out, dinner and then falling asleep. It has been SO hard to muster the motivation to exercise after such a long day. It’s killer. I know that I could technically exercise before… but it makes the morning so stressful! Plus, I end up getting less sleep, which is not good for my health. Sleep is something I have desperately needed to work on and I have been getting so much better. I’m getting at least seven hours a night. Thank god! I think it’s probably because school isn’t in the equation. School always squashes my “more sleep” efforts.

Lately I have been having a lot of meals that look like this…

Eggs are just so easy and satisfying. Plus it makes it easy for me to make veggies too.

Today was beautiful and I got to play with some pups and visit the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. That will not be the last time I visit the garden. It couldn’t be prettier.

Such a good day! And I ended it with a sweet onion burger and broccoli w/ roasted peppers!

Sometimes I have a hard time being in the city because I miss being outside more, but today definitely helped. I hate going for days without my outside time. To me, it’s the best part of life and it kills me to not get to enjoy it as much as I want to. I am going to keep packing in as much as I can on the weekends!

My workout this morning consisted of a run + strength training. I don’t have access to weights so I make the most of the equipment I have.

I did 3 sets of each of these:

  • Elevated lunge left
  • Elevated lunge right
  • Inner thigh elevated squat left
  • Inner thigh elevated squat right

Then…

  • Med ball decline push-up
  • Triceps dips
  • Incline push -up

Then…

  • Kayak twist with weighted bar
  • Row with plate (could only find one misc. 35 pounder… yikes!
  • Oblique crunches with med ball

Then…

  • Regular squat with med ball
  • Sit-ups on ball (oblique and reg.)

Then…

  • French press with med ball
  • Squat and swing with med ball
  • Toe-reach ab exercise

I didn’t take breaks and I just did each to exhaustion, so it didn’t take too long.

I’m currently reading 50 Shades of Grey… it’s just heating up. I’ll have to let you know what I think in a few chapters!
