I want to give other people the permission to be their best, most healthy and authentic self. Why not reach your full potential?

My break has been wonderful. Lots of family time, writing, editing, working out, cooking, and reading up on health. I definitely miss my friends though. Part of me wants to spend as much time with my family as I can now because I will be away 5-7 months beginning in January. All about the balance.

Yesterday, I did the ToneItUp full body workout. I recommend it. It definitely got my heart rate up and my muscles were sore the next day. Only 30 minutes! I went on some 4-5 mile runs this weekend because the weather was gorgeous. Shorts and sunny weather in December? I’ll take it!

Today I ran and did a workout with my mom and dad in the backyard. Ha ha! I am trying to get my dad to be more active so it was fun. We did sprints and medicine ball toss moves and he really liked it. Family definitely doesn’t listen to you as intently as clients do. That’s for sure! My goal is to get him hooked on working out before I leave for my internship in early January. We will see if I can get that done!

Latest obsession: The Dr. Oz show! Everyone should watch at least a few episodes. He makes health knowledge really relatable to the average person. I’m hooked. You can watch quick snippets of episodes online as well.

Healthy eats as of late:

Salmon and roasted veggies.

Kinda blurry, but my favorite snack. Apple slices with cinnamon and stevia to taste, warmed up in microwave for 30 sec-1 min.

Other favorite snack: 1/2 cup rolled oats, cinnamon, spoonful of cocoa powder, a handful of nuts mixed with a few banana chips. Put ingredients in a plastic baggy and shake. Bon appetit!

Toasted turkey/avocado sammy on sprouted bread with sliced strawberries on the side. Simple, but good!

Tonight I decided to prepare a hearty healthy meal for my family. I got the recipes from the Dr. Oz website (of course). I never have time in my life to cook, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity.

It was amazing. I’m feeling very satisfied right now and I know that my family enjoyed it. Success!

The recipes were amazing. The chocolate pudding consists of avocado, dates, cocoa powder and cinnamon with a little bit of stevia on top. Yum! No wonder it’s so filling.
