Wow. Let’s just say that multi-tasking is out of control in my life right now. I have learned my lesson and I will never sign up for too many activities and responsibilities at the same time again. I love everything that I do, but I just can’t do it all. It’s truly a bummer. Why do we have to sleep? 🙂 For now, I am going to multi-task my way through the rest of the semester and do my best. Sounds like a golden plan to me!

The marathon training has been crazy, but I like it for all of its challenging moments, early mornings and post-workout sore muscles. It has definitely been a learning experience. I wouldn’t trade those sweaty miles for anything. It has provided me with a mindset that can’t be achieved without running for 20-plus miles at a time. I have proved to myself that I can do it. I can rise to the challenge. I carry this mental “gem” with me throughout my day. In that sense, running has strengthened my character and improved my life in more ways than I could ever imagine. I have learned to embrace the loooong (20-plus mile) runs. In fact, I look forward to them because it is a time in my life where I am not multi-tasking. I can just focus on one task. The simplicity of each stride is peaceful and gives me a sense of comfort with each mile. Running is my traveling “home” in this crazy, fast-moving life.

In other news, I have been personal training ten-plus time a week. The industry is booming right now! I love it. Personal training involves fitness, meeting new people and helping those people reach their health goals. I genuinely look forward to going to my sessions. My clients are each so different and I love the new things that I learn from each of them. It’s such a cool profession. Even cooler college part-time job.

Writing and editing articles is a big part of my life. Lately, I am editing or writing every single night and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If I could, I would read articles and write articles all of the time. Unfortunately, school work gets in the way. 🙂

I wrote an article about multi-tasking and balance in life: The Balance Between Productivity and Relaxation. If only I could listen to my own advice. Starting next semester, I am going to keep my well-being in mind and not sign up for so much.

What is the first part of your life to get cut when things get busy? Mine is sleep, which is a major no-no.

Side note – I have been having a delicious yogurt mess for breakfast every morning. This morning was greek yogurt, sliced banana, crunchy peanut butter and Ezekial sprouted grain cereal. Crunchy + Creamy = Delicious. Try it!

Now, back to the craziness. First up … study for a spanish test!
