My motivational song!

So lately I have been listening to this song to get my day started. I highly recommend doing it. It gets me excited about the future and all of the opportunities available. Goooood song.

Today has been filled with workout class, internship stuff and family time. I go back to school officially on Tuesday. I will then have two weeks of recruitment shenanigans for my sorority. It usually ends up being fun but it is just a ton of time. I have so many things I want to do. Run, write and read seem to be my favorite pass times as of lately. I will have to squeeze those past times in around the sorority activities for the time being.

Yesterday was my 16 miler. So tonight should be interesting. As for my 16 miler…my motivation was a little low throughout the first half of the run but I got it back at about 8-9 mile point. Sometimes I’m just not feelin’ it. I went on a trail for this one and my 8 mile turn around point ended up being the end of the trail path. Perfect! Apparently the rest of the trail is coming in 2012…

Yup I’m the lame-o taking a picture by the sign! Compliments of my mom who rode her bike the entire way. If you have to do long runs I highly recommend running with someone or having them bike with you etc… It gets boring!

Lately I have been overwhelmed with the massive amount of things to do. Then I really thought about it and realized, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love to keep busy and experience the heck out of life. So I probably shouldn’t complain. I have a feeling I am not the only one like this. Complaining is a vicious cycle and a self-defeating habit. I am going to try to stop myself every time I complain and remind myself of why I keep busy. Because I like to be busy, simple! No more complaining for this girl. Complaints = Fun suckers.

I am teaching my first fitness class on Monday. I am already nervous! Fear is such a powerful thing. I am going to have to get in there and show myself that I can do it. Bootcamp Maxx here I come!

Some quotes for inspiration:

“What you are is what you have been. What you’ll be is what you do now.” –Buddha

“If you get up one more time than you fall, you will make it through.” -Chinese Proverb

“Don’t fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.” –Unknown

Get out there and show life what you’ve got. Try and fail. Try and succeed. Try and try and try. That is what life is about. Make your experience a life full of trying new foods, vacations, runs, workouts, books, routes to the store, movies, sports… anything. No one can hold you back. Smile
